Volkswagen has already announced a new Tiguan and an all-new SUV called the Volkswagen Atlas. They also showcased the upcoming 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. Learn more below.

Performance

Volkswagen has naturally yet to release specifics about MPG ratings, but we do know the upcoming Volkswagen Jetta will feature the same 1.4L turbocharged engine that’s proven so popular with the current model. As such, you will still harness up to 147 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque when you hit the gas.

Performance will feel refreshed. The new Jetta will ride on the company’s MQB platform, so expect tighter handling and a smoother ride as you cruise down I-10.

Style

The Volkswagen Jetta has always shown that subtle sleekness that marks out the Volkswagen brand as a whole, but it’s going longer and sharper for the upcoming generation. The new Jetta feels more spacious and sits lower to the ground.

The roof slopes back for coupe-like elegance, and the redesigned front fascia will feature standard LED lighting.

Features

The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will offer the following amenities, and more:

  • Apple CarPlay
  • Android Auto
  • VW Digital Cockpit with 12.3-Inch Display
  • 10-Color Wrap-Around Ambient Lighting
  • Dual-Zone Climate Control

Safety technology should include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • High Beam Control
  • Lane Departure Warning
